Winter Wonderland for Sandy Hook Elementary Students
On Thursday, Jan. 3rd, the Women in Science Club made crystal snowflakes to send to the students of Sandy Hook Elementary School so that when they returned to school, in a new location, they were greeted with a winter wonderland to welcome them, lift their spirits and show how many people thought of them and wished them well. The Women in Science Club just sent over 500 four o'clock flower seeds to the Petit Foundation! Nice work, girls!
Thank you to all those who supported our club through the purchase of cookie dough! Your purchase will help us to create a beautiful garden on the grounds of GHS that will support The Petit Foundation whose mission is to provide funds to women in science and to research to cure diseases. For more information, please click here.
The flowers have bloomed and produced a tremendous amount of seeds that will be used to support the Petit Foundation. Please see the slideshow below to view the hard work the club put into the garden and the fruits of their labor!
